Archaeology and Preservation Lecture

Have you always wanted to learn more about archaeology? Well then, you’re in luck! Katie Epps, Manager of the Heyward House, is giving a lecture on Archaeology and Preservation May 22, 2014 from 2-4 pm. The lecture will be held at the Heyward House Historic Center, in the gentleman’s parlor.


Katie is an archaeologist by training; she obtained her MA in Anthropology from USC and has been in the field for over 10 years. She will be explaining what archaeology is and how it helps preserve the past. She will also be explaining the new archaeology program at the Heyward House Historic Center.
