Public Archaeology Day & Candle-making Class

Last year Katie and I came up with some ideas for programs we could do over the summer. We had an archaeology program, candle-making class, and a scavenger hunt. The summer was a success and all the summer camps that came to the Heyward House seemed to enjoy the programs we came up with.

We decided that we shouldn’t limit it to just summer time, so we’ve come up with some dates this fall for an archaeology day and a candle-making class. The programs are open to adults and children ages 5 & up.
The public archaeology day will be held on October 18th from 10-12 pm. There will be two sessions for the archaeology, each lasting about an hour. $5 per adult and children under 18 are $3. Please call to sign up for the archaeology program by October 17th.
The candle-making class will be held on November 7th from 1-2 pm. Scented or non-scented candles can be made using 19th Century techniques. $6 per adult and children under 18 are $4. Please call to sign up for the candle-making class by November 6th.
If you are interested in these programs or want to know what else we have going on, just give us a call! 843-757-6293
Best Always,
Alyssa
