Operated by the Bluffton Historical Preservation Society, the Heyward House (c.1841) provides visitors a glimpse into the past. One of only eight antebellum homes to survive the Civil War, this well-preserved house museum is the only historic home in Bluffton that is open to the public for tours.

Designated in 2000 as the official Welcome Center for the town of Bluffton, the Heyward House is a good place to make your first stop when visiting historic Bluffton. Here you can pick up free maps and information on all things Bluffton, including local menus, coupons, event tickets, and much more.
